‍Sometimes you might hear someone knock on the door, even though nobody is there.

What does this mean? Is it a sign from above? A ghost trying to get your attention? Or just a weird coincidence?

After extensive research and even talking to an expert about this, I finally figured out the spiritual meanings behind knocking.

After all, hearing knocking is not an uncommon phenomenon in homes or apartments. It could be something as simple as tree branches hitting your house in the wind.

But there could also be more to it than that…

1) It’s a sign from God that He wants to be in your life

This could be a sign of His presence in your life.

You see, I read up on this and in the Bible, it says that God refers to man’s heart as a door waiting to be opened.

Now: reading that, it kind of started to make sense why knocking could be a sign of God being in your life.

If you want to get in touch with God and really make Him a part of your daily life, this knocking could be a sign that He wants to be in your life.

The knocking could be an indication that He is trying to get your attention.

If this happens to you, it’s a sign that He has something important to tell you.

It’s a sign from above that He wants to be in your life. You could be on the path to a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God.

Now it’s up to you to think about whether or not you’ve made God a part of your life lately and whether you want to focus more on that moving forward.

Usually, you don’t get a sign from God until you’re ready for it. If you’re not ready for a deeper relationship with God, you might just ignore this sign.

But if you are ready to dive deeper into spirituality and have a closer relationship with the Divine, then this knocking could be the sign that you’ve been waiting for…

2) The spirit realm has been trying to send you signs but you haven’t seen them

You could be on the verge of a new relationship, you could be about to get a job promotion, or you could be about to receive an inheritance.

It took me a while to understand, but the knock is supposed to bring feelings of expectation to your heart so that you know something is coming.

And thankfully, this something is almost always positive when it comes to hearing knocking!

5) A loved one has just died

I’ve actually heard this story from multiple friends and loved ones when someone close to them has died, so I have no doubt in my heart that it could be true.

You see, for all of them it was the same – they were minding their own business at home when they heard knocking.

There was nobody there, but a few minutes later they received the call that a loved one has passed away.

Now the thing is, some of these stories are really extraordinary, like my grandma, who lives in a little farmhouse on a mountain, very remote from everything around her.

There is no way someone accidentally knocked on her door, especially not right before she found out someone close to her had died!

So when you hear knocking, a loved one could be trying to get your attention so that you know they have passed away.

However, if you are reading this article, then this is probably not the case for you, as you would have found out already.

And if it does happen, you can console yourself with the fact that this person wanted to say goodbye to you in particular, so you meant a lot to them, as well!

6) You have unprocessed emotions that need to be released

You see, our minds work in strange ways sometimes.

Emotions are way more powerful than we give them credit for.

And when we have an emotional experience, it can stay in our body and mind for a long time.

Now, as I’m sure you know, emotions play a vital role in our lives.

We wouldn’t be able to function without them.

However, they can also cause us a lot of trouble if we don’t deal with them properly.

You see, emotions are like energy – they can move through us and then transform into different forms that help us to heal and grow as human beings.

If you have been trying to forget about something, then you probably know that it can come back to bite you.

And once they get your attention, they can start working their way through your system and out of your body until they are finally released.
