„I’ve sold my soul to the devil. “—  John Lennon

You might have sold your soul to the devil. You might not.

Either way, it’s not a good idea to ignore the question.

As you await your judgment day, these 25 signs will help you figure out if that infernal event is indeed nigh upon us.

Read on and find out what you can do to get your soul back!

25 signs you’ve sold your soul to the devil and what you can do about it

1) You care more about what others think of you than what you think of yourself

It’s almost impossible to truly be happy in this world if you’re riddled with insecurity.

Fearing what other people think of you is a sign of weakness and insecurity. However, being self-absorbed is just as bad.

This is a surefire sign that something is wrong in your life.

It’s a sign that you can’t see yourself for who you really are, and that the ego has taken over your life.

You stop caring about what others think of you once you start really loving yourself.

That’s when the fear of others’ opinions seemingly goes away.

This is how you get your soul back.

Real strength comes from within, not from depending on outside validation.

2) You’ve become a chronic complain-er (or worse yet, you blame others for holding you back)

Plenty of people find themselves in this situation.

However, if you notice yourself doing this on a regular basis or it seems to be a constant complaint, then you might be on the path to selling your soul to the devil.

What’s wrong with complaining?

Often, complaining is an expression of our inner sense of frustration and powerlessness.

If you’re complaining about life not being fair but all the while knowing (on some level) that it isn’t fair, then clearly your mind is already in chaos.

Your complaints make you feel better in the moment, but they don’t solve anything.

It’s just a temporary bandage covering your wounds.

You might as well just let out all of your emotions by hollering at the top of your lungs if that’s what feels right to you. At least then you’ll hear yourself.

3) You are always tempted by money and material possessions

We’re taught to admire and respect the wealthy. We’re constantly bombarded with messages that getting rich is the ultimate goal in life.

The problem is that by worshiping money and material possessions, we make them more important than they really are.

In doing so, we neglect our own spiritual growth.

If you notice yourself being more tempted by money or material things than spiritual growth, then you’ve definitely sold your soul to the devil.

In fact, a person who worships money and material possessions is a lot like a corpse.

A lifeless, soulless shell of what used to be a vital being.

That’s why we say that one surefire way to sell your soul to the devil is by worshiping material things. It makes having a soul totally unnecessary.

And that’s a terrible mistake, because you can’t escape your soul.

It’s more important than money and material things because it’s the foundation of all of life.

You only come into this world once and you only leave it once. Don’t lose yourself.

“In the bazaar, everything sells. Bangle, booze, belief, bride. As a buyer, it is your wisdom to purchase things, or to sustain pride…” ― Neelam Saxena Chandra

4) You are a sucker for people who are fake, phony, and insincere

People who are attracted to crowds like that tend to be lacking in strength and substance themselves.

Some of them might not even realize it but others know exactly what they’re doing.

They’re chameleons. They’re not happy unless they have someone else to feed off of because they don’t have enough substance within themselves to get what they need.

They feed off of the energy of other people.

That’s why they’re always looking for newer, stronger fixations.

If you find yourself attracted to those kinds of people, then that might be your way of telling the world that you’ve sold your soul to the devil.

You might not even realize it, but it is definitely something that you need to address.

5) You’re more concerned with fitting in with others than making a name for yourself

The two goals are diametrically opposed.

If your primary motive is fitting in with others, then that’s a clear sign that you’ve sold your soul to El diablo.

This is no fault of your own, of course. We’re all drawn to different things and it’s just the way it is.

You can’t force yourself to be someone you’re not.

There’s a difference between being true to yourself and fitting in with others.

If you find yourself more concerned with fitting in with others, then that might be your way of trying to be true to yourself.

The problem is that you’re trying too hard, which is going to make it impossible for you to stand out or make a dent in the world.

If that’s the case, then you need to can the phony act and start being your own person.

It’s not easy to do but if you don’t have your soul then it’ll never happen.

6) You always end up losing in a relationship

It doesn’t matter whether it’s a personal or professional relationship.

You have been led to believe that relationships are difficult and difficult things can only be won by being tough and steadfast. That’s not how it works, of course.

It means that you’re constantly putting up walls and barriers between yourself and the rest of the world.

It also means that you’re being intolerant of other people and only looking at whatever particular situation is right in front of your eyes.

If you want to get out of this downward spiral, then it’s time for a change.

I spoke to a psychic myself after going through a major crisis related to my toxic relationship.

I expected smoke and mirrors, but what I got was real answers and mind-blowing insights into my situation.

The gifted spiritual advisor I spoke to at Psychic Source broke through all the lies I was telling myself and gave me real clarity.

They gave me so much valuable wisdom about the questions of losing my soul that had been keeping me up at night and even giving me ulcers.

7) You have the tendency to be a tease

This is one of the biggest signs that you’ve been losing parts of your soul.

Of course, this can be difficult to recognize and people who are guilty of this aren’t necessarily aware that they’re doing it.

If you’re looking for someone else to provide you with happiness and joy and a sense of worthiness, then you end up leading other people on without even realizing it.

This is deliberate on your end but it’s not intentional.

This is something that you absolutely do not want to continue doing.

“The whole course of human history may depend on a change of heart in one solitary and even humble individual – for it is in the solitary mind and soul of the individual that the battle between good and evil is waged and ultimately won or lost.”— M. Scott Peck

8) You’re a sucker for punishment

The easiest way to see if you sold your soul to the devil is to ask yourself if you’d rather give in and allow yourself to be abused or mistreated than stand up for yourself?

If you willingly allow others to abuse you, then there’s something wrong with your soul.

It means that your ego is controlling most of your decisions and it has a death grip on you.

If you can’t stand up to abuse or mistreatment, then you’ll never get anywhere in life. You’ll just be a slave to other people’s whims and wishes.

Letting others mistreat you is being a sucker for punishment.

The only way to escape your ego is by following your soul. It knows what’s right for you and it desires self-improvement more than anything else.

9) You never take any time to relax, reflect or enjoy life

Do you ever stop and smell the roses?

The real way to achieve greatness in life is not by working harder but by working smarter.

And the only way to work smarter is by taking time out of your day to relax, reflect and enjoy life.

If you don’t, then your soul is being wasted away.

You can’t ever achieve greatness in life by working harder than others.

That’s where the energy goes that could be used productively.

It doesn’t matter how much work you put into a task if it’s not highly beneficial to your soul and it puts you on the road towards spiritual death instead of spiritual life.

10) You always try to be someone that you’re not

Is there anything left of your personality?

If you’ve completely lost yourself in the process of being someone that you’re not, then what’s the point?

If you’re always trying to post photos that show everyone that you’re the life of the party, the most popular person in college, or that you’re always having a great time then something is wrong with your soul.

Both on and offline, a person who sells their soul to the devil is trying to con other people into thinking they’re someone they’re not.

This isn’t just about giving up on media or being too busy with other things in life — this is time lost that could be spent working towards real happiness instead of being an internet addict.

That’s a clear sign that you’re too obsessed with external acceptance above real internal happiness.

11) You’re a slave to your addictions

The quickest way to tell if you’re a slave to your addictions is if nothing else matters to you except the next time you get to indulge in your addiction of choice.

You might have other things going on throughout the day but all of it becomes secondary as soon as it’s time for you to get high or drunk.

You might not be addicted to any substances that are illegal but there are other things in life that you could be obsessed with.

When I felt the most lost in life, I was introduced to an unusual free breathwork video created by the shaman, Rudá Iandê, which focuses on dissolving stress and boosting inner peace.

My relationship was failing, I felt tense all the time. I’m sure you can relate – heartbreak does little to nourish the heart and soul.

I had nothing to lose, so I tried this free breathwork video, and the results were incredible.

Rudá hasn’t just created a bog-standard breathing exercise – he’s cleverly combined his many years of breathwork practice and shamanism to create this incredible flow – and it’s free to take part in.

If you feel a disconnect with yourself due to an addiction that’s tainting your soul, I’d recommend checking out Rudá’s free breathwork video.

12) You take more than you give

What’s the most obvious sign that someone has sold their soul to the devil?  Try looking at their relationships with others.

When they have a pattern of taking more than they give, that’s what we call parasitic behavior.

When you do it, then you’re totally wasting your life because you’re living off of other people and not contributing anything in return.

If you’re one of those people who has a pattern of taking more than they give, then you need to make some serious changes in your life.

You can’t ever get anywhere in life by being a parasite. Not only are you hurting other people, but you’re hurting yourself as well.

13) You’re always trying to find something or someone new that can make you happy

“The dark night of the soul is when you have lost the flavor of life but have not yet gained the fullness of divinity.”- Ram Dass

Are you running from your problems and hoping that if you just switch things up and try something else then everything will be okay?

This is a sign that you’re putting your happiness into the hands of other people.

It’s a sign that you don’t appreciate the good things that are already in your life and instead you’re trying to find something or someone new as an excuse to be unhappy.

If you’re really trying to get rid of the devil and searching for happiness, then continue reading this list…

14) You’re always worried or unhappy on the inside

If you’re always depressed about something, then it means that you have either failed to deal with your emotional problems or you’ve given up on yourself and abandoned yourself in the process.

Unhappiness is the devil’s greatest gift to mankind.

He wants us to be unhappy so that we relinquish all hope of true happiness.

He wants us to believe that there’s no hope as long as we’re unhappy, but that isn’t true.

The moment you start looking for a way out of your unhappiness, you’ll see that there is always a way out and life will never be the same again once you start finding the light in your darkness.

15) You’re trying to be as successful as possible

Remember how I said earlier that the devil will make you obsessed with external happiness above anything else?

If you’re always trying to be as successful as possible then there’s a good chance that you’ve already given up your soul for money or fame.

The truth is that this kind of success is temporary, and it won’t make you truly happy.

The thing with spirituality is that it’s just like everything else in life:

It can be manipulated.

Unfortunately, not all the gurus and experts that preach spirituality do so with our best interests at heart.  Some take advantage to twist spirituality into something toxic – poisonous even.

I learned this from the shaman Rudá Iandé. With over 30 years of experience in the field, he’s seen and experienced it all.

He promotes spiritual empowerment from within.

Click here to watch the free video and bust the spiritual myths you’ve bought for the truth.

Rather than tell you how you should practice spirituality, Rudá puts the focus solely onto you. Essentially, he puts you back in the driver’s seat of your spiritual journey.

16) You have completely lost touch with the present moment

Are you going to live the rest of your life in a delusional state?

This is the most important issue to be aware of because when you lose touch with the present moment then you’re giving up on achieving true inner happiness.

When this happens, you’re doomed to be miserable for the rest of your life.

You might not even realize it but that’s exactly what’s happening to you.

Just because you’re not in a ‘dark place’ right now doesn’t mean that you won’t end up in a dark place soon. But you don’t have to stay there.

17) You dislike or even hate people

If you have any kind of anger towards other human beings, then you’ve given up on yourself and forgotten about your soul.

This is the best sign that a person has sold their soul.

When you hate someone then you know that true happiness has been lost from your life.

The secret to true happiness is to love everyone unconditionally without expectations or limitations.

You can’t do this if you’re angry with another person because then they’ll become your enemy and you’ll never be happy again.

You might not even realize that you hate people but if you’re angry at other human beings then you know that the devil has won and that your soul is no longer yours.

“It’s better to cry than to be angry; because anger hurts others, while tears flow silently through the soul and cleanses the heart.”— Pope John Paul II

18) You’re always trying to live up to other people’s expectations of you

The easiest way to tell if someone has sold their soul to the devil is by asking them what they think about expectations.

If they immediately start discussing how another person’s expectation should be placed in comparison with their own, then something is wrong.

Usually, the person who sold their soul will try to scale down their own expectations and change themselves until they meet that expectation or else people will stop liking them.

There are so many different paths towards greatness in life as opposed to just one.

No matter what you’ve done in your life, there’s always more than enough room for more.

It’s not about trying your best but doing what it is that your soul truly wants out of life.

19) You fear looking your worst, which is why you dress, act, and look nothing like God intended for you

Obviously, we all want to look good and be attractive but that’s not what the universe wants for you.

Being unique is not something that can be measured with numbers and statistics.

A good deal of people spend an inordinate amount of time and money trying to look good.

They work out religiously and spend a lot of money on fancy clothes, but at the end of the day, they’re still just walking around looking their worst.

Don’t get confused by this.

Sure, we’re all bombarded with a lot of messages about being attractive, but that doesn’t mean you actually have to be attractive.

Vanity is never good.

Do your hair, makeup, and clothes in whatever way you please.

Just not too much because that’s the only way you’ll be able to see your true self through the lies that you’re trying to hide behind.

You can’t build a house on a foundation of lies and pretense.

20) You are willing to trade on your own self-respect, regardless of the consequences to your soul

If you feel the need to sell your soul, there’s probably a reason for it.

You might be in dire financial straits, or you might just feel as if you have no other options available to you.

You might have come from a troubled background and had no other role models.

Whatever your situation is, it’s important to realize that there are always other options available to you.

You just have to find your way out of the web of deception that you’ve been caught in.

One of the best ways to do that is by looking at yourself in the mirror and seeing what you have to offer.

Don’t look through the eyes of a selfish, greedy person but instead look through the eyes of a loving, giving person.

That’s how you’ll find your way back.

21) You love to talk about other people’s lives and how much better your life is than theirs

It’s always a bad sign when you start enjoying drama and gossip.

We all do it from time to time, but if you’re into it 24/7 then that’s a sign that something is wrong with your soul.

If you find yourself drawn to gossip and drama, there’s probably a reason for it and that reason needs to be addressed immediately.

The best way to stop yourself from engaging in idle chatter is by putting an emphasis on living your life the way it was intended for a good human soul.

Try to get involved in the activities that your community offers. You’ll meet new people and help others at the same time.

It’s win-win all the way around.

22) You are obsessed with being in control of every situation, no matter how trivial or inconsequential it might be to you in the long run

When you have no control over every situation, then you begin to feel as if your life is out of your hands.

It’s a terrible feeling and one that often leads to anxiety and depression.

There’s an easy way to get rid of these feelings and it involves finding your soul.

If you feel like you have no control over situations in your life, ask yourself if that really matters or not.

If not, why would you let it bother you?

Try to let things happen the way they’re supposed to without interfering with them because that only causes confusion and chaos.

23) You’ve been accused of saying “I knew I shouldn’t have done it” after doing something naughty, like fornication or gluttony or greed

And perhaps you have said it.

But what if the universe was actually trying to warn you?

Not everything is exactly as it seems to us.

There is a lot more going on in the world around us than we realize.

This might sound like a scene from a science fiction movie, but we assure you that it’s real and it’s happening right now.

You are in the process of selling your soul to the devil and once you do, there will be no coming back for you ever again.

Why would you want that for yourself?

One of the few ways to avoid this deplorable fate is by seeking guidance and protection from the universe.

It’s up to you.

24) You have a tendency to be dishonest and to lie often, even when it’s not necessary

It’s not a matter of being dishonest or “always lying”, it’s a question of being aware of the power of temptation.

If you are tempted to lie, ask yourself why you might want to do so.

Do you need to make an excuse, or do you just want to see what the other person will say?

Maybe the situation isn’t that serious and there’s no reason for the words that are coming out of your mouth to be anything but helpful.

People often say it’s always the truth that gets you into trouble.

It depends on how you interpret your situation, but it’s not always the case that the truth is what will get you in trouble.

The truth itself can be quite ambiguous at times and when you stop trying to interpret everything you read or hear, then things start to become a lot clearer.

You’ll stop being a slave to deception and manipulation and instead start being a master of your situation.

25) You never feel good enough

If you’re not content with who you are, then that’s a clear sign that fear of rejection has gotten the better of you, which is something no one should ever have in this world.

It takes real strength to be proud of who you are, and that’s something you’re going to want to start developing if you’re serious about getting your soul back.

If you feel like you need to be someone else or acquire more things in order to feel good enough, then there’s a huge problem.

You need to learn how much more important your own self-esteem is than fitting in with the rest of the world.

You might not like everything about yourself but that’s okay because you need to be able to accept what you don’t like about yourself so that you can let go of it and become more accepting of whatever comes your way.

You might have to work hard at it but nobody else can ever make you great. Only yourself can do that.

Conclusion

We hope that this open, honest, and fearless look at the steps you can take to heal your soul will help you. In order to be loved, people must be allowed to be imperfect.

The most important relationship you will ever have is the one with yourself.

It is the foundation that everything else in your life is built upon.

So, it only makes sense that you need to be aware of how you treat yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Avoid judging your own self-worth based on your achievements, the approval of others or the amount of money that you have in your bank account.

If you think it’s time you got your soul back from the devil, these 25 signs listed above will surely help guide your way back home.
