2) Take a step back from social media

We are often heavily influenced by the opinions and biases of others.

While the views of our close friends and family are important in shaping the person we want to become, the world of social media is a stretch too far.

It can be very confusing to be opened up to so many strong opinions and views, and it’s enough to knock us off our own spiritual journey.

This is your journey. By browsing the world of social media each and every day it’s playing a strong role in how you feel and how your spiritual journey is unfolding.

With all these external views coming into your life, it can be very hard to stay on track and filter through all the noise.

Instead, it makes you feel that you’re never doing the right thing.

It challenges your opinions and forms new one each and every day.

You find yourself chasing a version of yourself that you feel you have to be. Rather than the version of yourself that you actually want to be.

There’s a huge difference.

No wonder you’re feeling so lost.

3) Don’t go it alone

The people in your life are extremely important when it comes to your spiritual journey. Take social media out of your life and begin focusing on those around you. They’re the people who truly matter.

Don’t ever feel like you have to go it alone.

It’s the people we surround ourselves with who help influence our life paths and choices. It’s for this reason that it’s so important for these people to play a role on your spiritual journey.

Reach out to them, as you will be pleasantly surprised by how happy they are to help. They want to be there for you, and they want to help drive you in the right direction.

4) Cut the dead weight

While it’s important to rely on those close to you and let their opinions influence your decisions, it also means you need to cut the dead weight out of your life.

We tend to attract like-minded people.

If you’ve been feeling down lately, then there’s a good chance you’ve attracted a lot of negative people into your life in the process.

If you let them stay, they will be offering the wrong influence and sending you down a path you don’t want to be on.

Being surrounded by others who don’t know where they are in life, or where they want to be, isn’t going to be productive for you. You’ll no doubt find yourself lost and confused as you trye and muddle your way out.

Now’s the time to cut those strings and say goodbye.

Latch on to the friends who are truly authentic and are happy to share their authentic selves with you.

These are the people who you can trust and feel safe around. Every time you’re with them, they give you the perfect confidence boost.

You walk away with a renewed energy for life.

You feel confident, capable, and like you can tackle anything and everything.

This is the type of positive energy you need in life.

The same goes for your family. While you might be blood, if they are dragging you down, then you might have to cut the ties. Even just temporarily, until you have the chance to truly find yourself.

If you give into the negative energy, you will find yourself lost over and over again. It’s hard to find the way out when you have people constantly dragging you down.

Don’t feel bad. There’re times in life when we need to put ourselves first. To be a little selfish. And this is one of them.

Modern life is busy.

Between meetings, work, shopping, cooking, making dinners, cleaning…you name it, we barely have time at the end of each and every day to take a deep breath in let alone reflect on our lives.

But the truth is, we don’t stand a chance of finding ourselves unless we actually take that time to connect and truly think about what it is that we want.

If you’re feeling lost, then it’s a good sign that you need to put yourself first to help get you back on track.

It’s time to make yourself a priority in your own life.

Only then can you know exactly what you want out of life.
