Can you read in your dreams?
Whoa! You must be something special!
Look, I don’t want to freak you out;
BUT 99% of the population CAN’T read while dreaming.
Here are five things it means when you can:
1) You are part of a very small section of the population
Only 1% of all the people on Earth have the ability to read while dreaming.
Simply put, there are two areas of the brain that are responsible for language and logic, namely Broca’s area and Warnicke’s area.
During sleep, one of them remains active (Broca’s area), while the other shuts down (Warnicke’s area).
What does this mean? It means that they can no longer communicate properly.
When communication between these areas is disrupted, the vast majority of people often hear or say things in their dreams that don’t make sense or have a really weird meaning.
In addition, they can’t read the clock or read a recipe or leave a message on their phone.
Well, this is what usually happens. However, in your case, things are a bit different.
In this regard, scientists have discovered something even more amazing:
Almost every person who has the ability to read in their dreams is a writer.
How so? Why are writers able to read in their dreams?
Writers think about words on a daily basis. They use them to create and produce new ideas. They use them to communicate with others, and so on.
So, since words are such a big part of their waking world, it makes sense that they are part of their dreams as well.
Why? As you probably know, we often dream about the things we do or think about during the day.
There you have it: one possible meaning of being able to read in your dreams.
2) A gifted advisor can tell you exactly what it means
The points above and below will give you a good idea about what it means when you can read in your dreams.
But a surefire way to know for sure is to speak with a gifted advisor.
They can answer questions like:
- Why are you able to read in your dreams?
- What’s the exact meaning of your dream?
- Can you control your dreams?
The problem is finding someone you can trust.
That’s why I recommend Psychic Source. When I signed up for a reading, they provided me with a unique insight into where my life was going and what I needed to do to change things around.
Having tried several online advisors, I think they’re the most caring, compassionate, and helpful network of gifted advisors out there.
Not only will a genuine advisor tell you a lot more about the meaning of your dreams, but they will guide you to use this ability in your favor.
3) You are actually having a lucid dream
Want to know more?
Another possible meaning for your dream is that you are actually having a lucid dream.
A lucid dream – sometimes referred to as a lucid experience – is one where you can control the action of the dream and are in complete control over all aspects of the dream.
In other words, if you want to read in a lucid dream, you can.
You can read a book, magazine, or newspaper. However, there’s a catch:
Since you can’t access new information while dreaming, it means that you can only read about the things you already know.
To be more precise, you can’t read a book you’ve never read when you were awake.
In addition, there’s something else you should know about lucid dreams:
- In order to control them, you need to be aware that you’re dreaming.
- Warnicke’s area is not active, but it’s not completely shut down either.
- You are not fully asleep, but not fully awake either.
So, how can you tell if you’re having a lucid dream?
- If you look into a mirror, you can’t see yourself clearly;
- Your fingers don’t have fingerprints;
4) You need more information before making a decision
Now that we’ve got the “heavier” meanings out of the way, we can focus on what you were reading about in your dream.
Can you remember?
In case you were reading about something that’s a big part of your life right now, something that requires you to make a decision, this is what it could mean:
- You worry that you know too little or are misinformed about the facts.
- You don’t feel that you can make a rational choice in this situation.
- You worry about the consequences of making a move before having as much information as possible.
- Going over the facts multiple times and reading your options will help you make a move.
Let’s put it another way:
The more information you have, the less likely you will be to make a bad decision.
In other words, your subconscious mind is projecting your fears and insecurities onto you.
And that’s why you’re having this type of dream.
5) You need more excitement in your life
This point also relates to what you were reading about in your dream.
Were you reading fiction?
If so, were you reading about something exciting?
You see, the subconscious mind projects your fears and wants to you.
In this case, it’s projecting your desire for excitement into your waking life.
You want something new to happen, something that will make you forget about your worries.
So, what does it take to build a life filled with exciting opportunities? What does it take to put your worries aside and fully enjoy life?
Most of us hope for a life like that, but we feel stuck, unable to do more for ourselves except focus on achieving our goals.
I felt the same way until I took part in Life Journal. Created by a teacher and life coach Jeanette Brown, this was the ultimate wake-up call I needed to stop focusing on just one area of my life.

How long is a dream?
Most people dream for between 1 to 3 minutes.
But in rare cases, a dream can last as long as 20 to 30 minutes.
The length of your dream depends on factors like:
- The amount of time you spend in REM sleep;
- Whether or not you have a vivid dream;
- The number of stimuli that you receive from outside the dream (lights, sounds, etc);
- How full your brain is with thoughts;
- How active your mind is during the day.
Can you read numbers in dreams?
Unless the logic part of your brain isn’t shut down, then yes, you can!
In short, if you’re having a lucid dream or if numbers are a huge part of your life, then you can read numbers in your dreams too.
When you dream about numbers, you might, in fact, receive a message. Wait, what message?
As you probably know, there are multiple meanings behind each number. I’m not just talking about numerology here. I’m talking about angel numbers.
Angel numbers are believed to be signs that you are receiving guidance from guardian angels or spirit guides.
For example, seeing the number 42 in a dream could mean that your guardian angel is sending a message via your dream.
Angel numbers predict possible events, explain probable decisions you will have to make, and help you make a decision on how to proceed.
So, if you happen to see numbers in your dreams, it wouldn’t hurt to look up their meanings to see if you’re actually being guided.
Can you actually control your dreams?
Actually, you can.
You don’t need to be a psychic or a prophet to control your dreams.
In fact, it’s easier than most people think. How so?
In theory, all you have to do is realize that you are dreaming.
In other words, becoming aware that you are dreaming will help you control your dreams.
This is what psychotherapists often call lucid dreaming.
This term is used to describe dreams where your conscious self wakes up in the middle of a dream and is able to control it.
In short, it means that you can change how your dream evolves depending on what you want it to be.
So, how can you practice lucid dreaming?
The first step is to learn to become aware that you’re dreaming. This can be difficult the first few times that you do it.
Exercise works great in this case.
But if you want more clarity on this, I’d suggest speaking to a gifted advisor at Psychic Source.
I mentioned them earlier. They have helped me out in the past and I’ve always found them honest and compassionate in their readings.
So instead of trying to figure all this out on your own, speak to an advisor who’ll give you the answers you’re looking for.
How rare is it to lucid dream every night?
In general, most people don’t have lucid dreams every night.
The occurrence of such dreams is not considered rare, but not common either.
Some people dream lucidly all the time; some don’t. It’s all about their interest in lucid dreams.
What does lucid dreaming feel like?
Lucid dreams can be amazing and terrifying at the same time. Moreover, they vary from person to person.
Some people feel absolutely nothing when they become lucid. Only their thoughts change.
Some people feel strong vibrations in their heads or in their whole bodies. Some people even feel pain or think they are going to die.
If you have such sensations, you should probably stop practicing lucid dreaming until you gain more experience.
That being said, most people who practice lucid dreaming describe it as a wonderful experience in which things are crystal clear and colors seem brighter than usual.
Do dreams have power?
Yes, they do.
Dreams have lots of power. In fact, most psychotherapists think that dreams are more important than you believe.
They often consider dream interpretation to be a big part of their job.
So, what can you learn from being able to read in your dream?
- You can learn how to better understand your subconscious mind.
- You can learn how to see things clearer in your day-to-day life.
- You can learn about things that you have been avoiding.
- You can learn about your fears and insecurities.
- And you can also learn about your desires.
You can read in your dreams. What now?
I hope this guide helps you better understand what’s really going on inside your brain when you’re dreaming and why you’re able to read in this state – while other people can’t.
But if there’s a part of you that still wants to know more, I recommend speaking to a genuine advisor.
And there’s one company that I always end up recommending, Psychic Source. Not only did they blow me away with their accurate reading, but they were also kind and understanding of my situation.
