Can telepathy be learned? We think so! Here’s how to develop telepathic skills

telepathy

Telepathy is a powerful talent.

In this article, we’re going to talk about telepathy, some of its uses, signs that you might be telepathic, and most important of all, how to teach yourself telepathy.

Let’s get started.

What Is Telepathy?

Telepathy is the art of reading thoughts, transferring thoughts from your mind to someone else’s mind, or communicating your thoughts without expressing them in words, actions or behaviors.

Is Telepathy “Mind Control”?

Telepathy is not often called or considered “mind control,” although there are some intense types of telepathy that can be used for mind control purposes.

Most people who have telepathic powers only use their abilities to plant a single thought or perhaps a short string of thoughts into someone’s head, using focused effort.

Most people with telepathic abilities don’t have the ability to control others with their minds.

In fact, most types of mind control are executed without any telepathic powers – we call it brainwashing.

What Are the Different Kinds of Telepathy?

There are multiple types of telepathy.

Here are three different kinds of telepathy:

Reading.

This type of telepathy is a way of reading someone else’s thoughts.

This goes beyond sensing a person’s emotional state, which can usually be done by viewing their facial expressions and observing their body language.

In the case of telepathy, the thoughts being read are more specific than emotions.

For example, if the person you’re reading is thinking of a fish, you’ll be able to read their thoughts, know they’re thinking about a fish.

You may even be able to sense what color the fish is, how large, and other details.

Impressing.

This is a type of telepathy that involves planting a simple thought into another person’s mind. This might be an image, a word or a very short string of words. Impressing is a common type of telepathy.

Communicating.

Communication telepathy is the ability to think whole thoughts and send them to a receiver. It’s a kind of direct communication that is clear as speech, but involves no talking.

Communication telepathy is rare.

Control.

Control telepathy is what most people would call “mind control.” Again, this is a very rare but serious type of telepathy that most people are never able to achieve.

How Is Telepathy Useful?

Telepathy can be useful in a variety of ways.

Some people use telepathy to send convenient messages to someone they are close to.

There are many stories of people using telepathy to send urgent messages calling out for help.

Telepathy can be used to help someone develop a positive opinion of you, send positive messages about yourself to someone interviewing you for a job, or even help persuade someone to see a problem from your perspective.

Most people are unable to use their telepathy to be consistently useful, but some people who get very good at using their telepathic powers can use telepathy to their advantage.

Can telepathy be learned?

Yes, telepathy can definitely be learned, however, not everyone is able to become a master at it.

It takes a lot of dedication and natural telepathic abilities to be able to reach a point where you can confidently communicate telepathically with someone else.

Below we’ll discuss the signs that you’re naturally telepathic (if you can relate to these signs, it will definitely help you on your journey) and then we’ll talk about all the ways you can develop your telepathic powers.

How Can You Tell If You’re Naturally Telepathic?

You might be naturally telepathic.

There are many ways that you can learn for yourself whether you have some telepathic abilities.

For example:

Your Third Eye Is Active

Your third eye, which is a part of your chakra system, is located in the center of your forehead, between your eyebrows.

If you ever feel a tingling sensation or a feeling of tension in this area, this could be because of activity in your third eye, which could be picking up on telepathic energy.

You’ll get used to these sensations as you develop your telepathic abilities – or these sensations may even fade, as the sensations can be an indication that your telepathic energy is more fully developed.

If you’ve been experiencing these sensations all your life, you might not notice them.

Start to pay attention to the feelings in your face, forehead, inside your mind’s eye.

When you have feelings of pressure, tension or tingling between your eyes, this could be a sign.

You Have Meaningful Dreams

Sometimes telepathic thoughts can come through in your dreams.

If you have dreams that seem to be meaningful and sometimes match up with events that happen in your everyday life, then this could be a sign that you’re telepathic.

You can find out for yourself whether your dreams are a sign of telepathic ability by writing down your dreams when you wake up every morning.

At the end of the week, review your dreams and make notations of any significant events that you dreamed about that seemed to line up with actual events that occurred throughout the week.

You Have Close Ties to the Spirit World

Are you in-tune with your spirituality? Do you spend time practicing meditation, exploring your ancestral connections, practicing religion, or do you spend time communicating with the spirits or your god?

This would indicate an openness to the spirit world that could be very useful in your explorations of your telepathic abilities. Sensitivity to what could be in addition to what is, and the idea that not everything that is can be perceived or tested or touched – this could be a sign that you’re in touch with your telepathic side.

You Have A Great Deal of Empathy

Empathy is the feeling that’s next door to sympathy: it’s a feeling that you deeply understand the feelings of others, and even relate to their feelings. People who are telepathic are usually very empathetic, because that connection to others’ thoughts is a part of their telepathy. It’s said that what starts off as empathy can grow into telepathy, if you focus your energy properly.

You Can Always Tell When Someone Is Lying

Telepathic people can sense lies because they have the ability to sense what’s happening beneath the surface, in someone’s mind. You might be able to see their lies in the way you perceive colors, or you may simply hear the lie in their words, the way you can hear inflections in their voice.

The sound of these lies is the sound of their inner, private thoughts, speaking to you through telepathic channels. You might be tempted ignore these feelings if you don’t know about your own telepathic abilities. Don’t turn your mind from these thoughts! You could be picking up on something real.

You Actually Hear the Thoughts of Others

Do you sometimes hear the thoughts of others in your own head?

Do you sometimes think you know their thoughts even though they aren’t being stated, even though you can’t read their expression?

This is different than just intuiting the thoughts of someone else, because the thoughts seem to come from nowhere.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell when you’re actually hearing someone’s thoughts, because the thoughts will float down from someplace in your mind far away, or they’ll pop to the surface, uninvited, in a way that makes it unclear whether you’ve made it up or not.

Listen to these thoughts, mentally catalog them, and remember them later when something happens that will prove to you that you were actually having a telepathic experience.

You Can Sometimes Influence the Thoughts of Others

Are you able to send thoughts to people and influence their behaviors, actions or train of thought?

This can be hard to tell, but you may notice it more often when you’re interacting with someone close to you, or when you’re particularly focused on a specific thought that is important to you.

If You’re a Twin Are You More Likely to Be Telepathic?

There are many people who believe that twins are more likely to be telepathic than other people, because twins are born together, share a special bond that many other siblings seem not to share, and often seem to be reading each other’s minds.

If you’re a twin, make your twin your practice partner when trying to develop your telepathic abilities.

You may find that it’s easier to be telepathic with your twin, but that your abilities will become stronger the more you practice with your twin.

What Can You Do to Develop Telepathic Powers?

There are many things you can do to either hone your natural telepathic powers, or learn the ability to be telepathic.

Here’s how.

Develop the Ability to Focus Your Thoughts

You’ll experience lots of distracting thoughts while you’re developing your telepathic abilities. Learning to focus your thoughts, control your thinking, and examine your thoughts in a detached way can help you strengthen your telepathic abilities.

Do yoga. Yoga relaxes your muscles, which in turn can help you reach the relaxed state you need to reach in order to hone your senses from your third eye.

Yoga also helps you develop discipline and an inner quiet that’s useful when trying to learn telepathy.

Play white noise, reduce your sensory perception. Listen to white noise to help shift your attention away from the world around you.

This will allow you to focus your attention on your inner thoughts, which are far more important than the thoughts influenced by the outside world when you’re trying to develop your telepathic powers.

Meditate. Meditation is an extension of yoga, because it will help you develop the inner calm and quiet you need to become telepathic. Meditate on a regular basis – daily – for 20 minutes a day or more.

This also helps you develop the mental discipline you need to become telepathic.

Try to Send Telepathic Messages

Pick a partner. It’s useful to choose a partner. Hopefully this person is open to the experience and would like to help you on the path to developing your telepathic abilities.

This may be someone you love or someone who is just interested in your project.

Spend time relaxing. Before any telepathy session, meditate with your partner to relax your muscles and quiet your thoughts. Do this for at least 20 minutes.

Visualize your partner. Sit down across from your partner.

Close your eyes and think about your partner, the way they look, the appearance of their face, their clothes, their gestures, expression.

See them with the clearest detail possible. You may spend a long time on this step.

Ask your partner to relax and open their mind to the message you’re about to send them. Ask them to close their eyes and imagine you with as much detail as possible – just as you are trying to visualize them.

Imagine your communications with your partner. Think about the tone of voice you use when you’re speaking to your partner.

Think about the things you talk about. Think about your feelings for this person, and how communicating with this person makes you feel.

Visualize a simple message. Shift your thoughts to something in the room or something very basic, like a pet or a favorite object. Think about that object with all the clarity you can.

Transmit your message to your partner. After a long moment of quiet reflection, imagine sending your thought to your partner.

Imagine the thought traveling from your mind into your partner’s mind. Visualize your partner receiving the thought or message.

Keep your muscles relaxed and your thoughts open during this process.

Once you’ve sent the thought to your partner, imagine that the message is gone, received by your partner, and no longer in your possession. Clear your mind.

Ask your partner to write down the message. Ask your partner to write down whatever message they received when you transmitted your thoughts to them.

It’s also a good idea to write down the message you transmitted at this time, so you can prove that the messages lined up – or see how off they were.

Write down as much detail as possible, including color, size, texture, and so on.

View the results. Swap papers and look at the thoughts that you both wrote down. Are they the same? Are they different? Were some details overlapping but not all?

Practice together regularly. Practicing together is the only way to get better!

Try not to be discouraged if your initial efforts don’t quite work out – instead, look for similarities in the descriptions that you two wrote down when recording your thoughts, and take these small successes with a positive attitude.

Tips

Find the right partner. Pick a partner you trust fully. Hopefully this will be someone who is open to the idea that telepathy is possible.

It might be easy to find a partner who is willing to practice with you because they want to be supportive, but it might be harder to find someone who is open to the idea of developing telepathy as a skill, who believes this is possible.

The more open and wiling your partner is, the harder they’ll try to help you on your path of developing telepathy.

Play a card game. Try picking cards from a deck. Send an image of each card one at a time, using the method described above.

Ask your partner to receive the messages and write down each card as you transmit the message. After doing this with five cards, compare your results to see if your partner received accurate messages.

Draw shapes. Try drawing some simple shapes embedded within shapes (triangle inside circle, square inside triangle, etc).

Visualize the shapes, then send these messages on to your partner. Ask your partner to draw the shapes. Compare notes.

Try receiving instead of transmitting. You don’t have to be the person sending messages all the time. You can receive them as well!

Ask your partner to try sending messages your way, the same way you’ve been sending messages to them.

Limit sessions to short time frames. Don’t burn yourself out while you’re developing your telepathic powers.

Keep your sessions short – no more than an hour – to keep your mind fresh, relaxed, and focused.

Keep a journal. Track your progress with a journal. If you can see progress, the process will become more exciting and you’ll be motivated to keep up with development of your power.

Switch partners if it feels right. If something isn’t going right with your current partner, consider switching.

Even if things were going well with your partner at first, you may decide at some point that you want to try something new and different to keep the process exciting.

Can Telepathy Be Learned? We Think So

The most important thing you can do as you’re learning how to develop telepathy is to keep trying and working hard.

Practice your efforts daily at first, though you may slow your efforts over time as your skills begin to develop.

Either way, just keep trying. You should continue to improve as time goes on!
